Pomona

Built

The POMONA Group entrusted IDEC with the construction in Rezé (Loire Atlantique) of a multi-temperature warehouse for TERRE AZUR, its subsidiary, which specialises in fruit and vegetablesand seafood.

The challenge in the project

The POMONA Group wanted to transfer its subsidiary TERRE AZUR, which specialises in seafood and fruit and vegetables frop its existing site in Rezé to be close to the new agri-food park in Nantes’ future MIN in Rezé (Loire Atlantique). The firm relied on the ability of IDEC to build multi-temperature warehouses when it developed its new business premises. The ability to build this project in limited time was also a positive factor.

Our response

IDEC took care of the construction of a 7500m² multi-temperature warehouse. This project is based around two areas side by side with shared loading bays. The warehouse dedicated to seafood benefits from a specific treatment with in particular a 550m² picking zone using galvanised equipment, a store for shellfish with a controlled temperature of 10°c and a 90m² seawater tank with natural filtration.
The warehouse dedicated to fruit and vegetables benefits from a storage area with 1200 spaces divide into two parts to satisfy the requirements and properties of the various products stored here (780 m² at between 8 and 10°c and 1250 m² at between 2 and 4°C). The project also includes two 40m² rooms for ripening produce.
